Christmas Market in Seligenstadt 2012 / ゼリゲンシュタットのドイツクリスマスマーケット2012

On Sunday we were again on a truly beautiful Christmas market. This time in Seligenstadt, which is also not far away from where I live. This Christmas market is not particularly large, but the snow and the charm of the old half-timbered houses is very romantic and absolutely beautiful. Also the offer between craft and food stalls are very good. On this day there were also a craftsman market in the city hall (see the large building in the picture above). For children, there were only a carousel and not quite as much as at the Christmas market in Alzenau last week.
The Seligenstädter Christmas market takes place from 29.11. - 16.12.2012 on the marketplace and surrounding streets. Those who want to visit this market, have only one week time for visit. More about the market you can read at the flyer on the left. Please click for a larger view on the picture.

Am Sonntag waren wir wieder auf einem wirklich schönen Weihnachtsmarkt unterwegs. Diesmal in Seligenstadt, was auch nicht weit weg von meinem Wohnort ist. Dieser Weihnachtsmarkt ist zwar nicht besonders groß, aber durch den Schnee und dem Charm der alten Fachwerkhäuser ist er einfach nur romantisch und total schön. Auch das Angebot zwischen Kunsthandwerk und Fressbuden ist sehr gut. Außerdem gab es an diesem Tag noch ein Kunsthandwerkermarkt im Rathaus (siehe großes Gebäude oben auf dem Bild).  Für Kinder gibt es lediglich nur ein Karussell und nicht ganz so viel wie auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt in Alzenau letzte Woche.
Der Seligenstädter Weihnachtsmarkt findet vom 29.11. - 16.12.2012 auf dem Markplatz und umliegenden Straßen statt. Wer ihn noch besuchen möchte, hat also noch eine Woche Zeit. Mehr zu dem Markt könnt ihr dem Flyer links entnehmen. Für ein größere Darstellung klickt auf das Bild.

I have no idea how this structure is called. It is very similar in any case with a maypole, but only with Christmas decorations.

Keine Ahnung wie man dieses Gebilde hier nennt. Es ähnelt jeden falls sehr einem Maibaum, nur halt Weihnachtlich dekoriert.

On this stand we have bought us instead of mulled wine a hot apple wine. If you live in a apple wine region, there's no getting round it ;) The price of 2,00 € is ok.

Bei diesem Stand haben wir uns statt Glühwein mal ein heißen Apfelwein gekauft. Wenn man in einer Apfelwein-Region wohnt kommt man da einfach nicht dran vorbei ;) Der Preis von 2,00 € ist völlig ok.

Einige kleine niedliche Läden mit Weihnachtsdeko hatten auch geöffnet. Ich liebe ja so was!

Here the view of the Einhard-Basilica St. Marcellinus and Petrus of 815. Besides there is still a former convent complex with a beautiful convent garden. This time we have not visited.

Hier der Blick auf die Einhard-Basilika St. Marcellinus und Petrus aus dem Jahre 815. Daneben befindet sich noch eine ehemalige Klosteranlage mit einem wundervollen Klostergarten. Diesen haben wir aber diesmal nicht besucht.

Also pretty, I find this guesthouse "Zu den drei Kronen" from 1720. It was once a vicarage and was rebuilt into a guesthouse with brewery. The guesthouse is opposite the basilica.

Auch hübsch anzusehen der Gasthof "Zu den drei Kronen" aus dem Jahre 1720. Es war mal ein ehemaliges Pfarrhaus und wurde zu einem Gasthof mit Brauhaus umgebaut.  Der Gasthof steht der Basilika gegenüber.

Also very impressive is the tower gate of the city wall.

What I also like in such old houses and places, is the stories they tell and especially I like the originally doors, which have been restored. Of this I have also photographed countless. This house here e.g. is quite in the near of the Main (river). On the right side you can see a flood scale and the associated water levels and year dates.

Was ich auch sehr gerne an solch alten Häusern und Orten mag, sind die Geschichten die sie erzählen und vor allem die alten ursprünglichen Türen, die so wie hier nur restauriert wurden. Hiervon habe ich auch schon unzählige fotografiert. Dieses Haus hier z.B. steht ziemlich nah am Main etwas erhöht. Rechts seht ihr eine Hochwasserskala und die dazugehörigen Wasserstände und Jahreszahlen.

On the way back, we have then discovered that shop here. It sells work clothes. Also for Santa Claus ;)

My result:
A beautiful little nostalgic Christmas market with not so many stalls, but a wonderful scenery. Just for that reason I must visit it every year again. For me, it must not always have a huge Christmas market, when everything all around is so nice. Unfortunately, there is offered little for the children. Nevertheless, definitely a visit is always worthwhile.

Auf dem Rückweg haben wir dann noch dieses Geschäft hier entdeckt. Es verkauft Berufskleidung. Auch für den Weihnachtsmann ;)

Mein Fazit:
Schöner kleiner nostalgischer Weihnachtsmarkt mit nicht ganz so vielen Buden, aber dafür eine wundervolle Kulisse. Nur schon deswegen lohnt sich jedes Jahr aufs neue ein Besuch. Für mich muss es nicht immer ein großer Weihnachtsmarkt sein wenn sonst rundherum alles stimmt. Aber leider wird nur wenig für die Kinder angeboten. Aber ansonsten auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert. 

Christmas Market in Alzenau 2012 / アルツェナウのドイツクリスマスマーケット2012

I've thought I show you this year, which Christmas markets I've visited and what I especially liked. The beginning makes the Christmas market in Alzenau in Lower Franconia in Bavaria. From my home town in Hesse it takes 15 minutes by car. Unfortunately, this Christmas market is only on one weekend in Advent. This year from 30.11. - 02.12.2012. It is not particularly large, but very interesting of its stands and attractions. Also for kids, there is many interesting things to see.

We visited the Christmas market on Sunday around midday for two hours. This is for a small Christmas market for us quite long. As you can see at the pictures it has snowed a little bit on this day. Extra for the Christmas market. Really great, right?

Ich habe mir gedacht ich zeige euch dieses Jahr mal auf welche Weihnachtsmärkten ich so unterwegs war und was mir dort am besten gefallen hat. Den Anfang macht der Alzenauer Weihnachtsmarkt in Unterfranken in Bayern. Von meiner Heimatstadt in Hessen sind es gerade mal 15 Minuten mit dem Auto. Dieser Weihnachtsmarkt findet leider nur an einem Adventswochenende statt. Dieses Jahr vom 30.11. - 02.12.2012. Er ist zwar nicht besonders groß, aber sehr interessant von seinen Buden und Attraktionen. Auch für Kinder hat er viele interessante Sachen zu bieten.

Wir haben den Weihnachtsmarkt am Sonntag um die Mittagszeit besucht und waren insgesamt zwei Stunden dort. Das ist für einen kleinen Weihnachtsmarkt für uns doch recht lange. Wie ihr auf den Bildern sehen könnt hat es an diesem Tag auch etwas geschneit. Extra für den Weihnachtsmarkt. Toll, oder?

What I found most appealing was, the many cute little booths in the Middle Ages or timber framing design. Here, for example, small booths with Christmas flower arrangements and Christmas decorations. In total, there was a lot of traditional Christmas decorations and homemade handicrafts. Really great, I love it.

Was mir gut gefallen hat, waren die vielen niedlichen kleinen Buden in Mittelalter oder Fachwerkoptik. Hier zum Beispiel kleine Buden mit Weihnachtsgestecken und Weihnachtsdekoration. Insgesamt gab es sehr viel an Weihnachtsdekoration und selbstgemachten Kunsthandwerk zu kaufen. Wirklich toll, ich liebe so was!

Of course, must be there candy houses with candied nuts, popcorn and gingerbread hearts. On the whole market there were about 2-3.

Natürlich dürfen auch die Süßwaren-Häuschen mit Popcorn, kandierten Nüssen und Lebkuchenherzen nicht fehlen. Davon gab es ca. 2-3 auf dem Markt.

I also found it very interesting this booth here. There were Kreppel in XXL format. One of these cost 4,50 €. Huge, but in my opinion still too expensive. But at Christmas markets you will quickly get rid your money ;)

Sehr interessant fand ich auch diesen Stand hier. Dort wurden Kreppel in XXL-Format. Das Stück kostete 4,50 €. Zwar riesig, aber meiner Meinung nach immer noch zu teuer. Aber auf Weihnachtsmärkten wird man halt schnell sein Geld los ;)

Also great I found the stands with local sausage and cheese products. Here, for example they sold a lot of venison sausages, as wild boar and deer.

Auch toll fand ich die Stände mit lokalen Wurst und Käseprodukten. Hier wurde z.B. besonders viel Wurst aus Wildfleisch wie Wildschwein und Hirsch verkauft.

And then there was two carrousels for children on the market. This here was a little more rustic with Christmas sleigh, but my daughter wanted to ride prefer the modern carousel with airplanes, cars and dragons ;)

Dann gab es noch zwei Kinderkarussells auf dem Markt. Dieser hier war etwas rustikaler mit Weihnachtsschlitten gehalten, doch meine Tochter wollte dann doch lieber auf den moderneren Karussell mit Drachen, Flugzeug und verschiedenen Autos fahren ;)

What I also really liked, was the small streets with booth a bit away from the main street. At the tree on the left side you could write down your wishes for the next year and hang it then on the tree.

Was mir auch sehr gut gefallen hat waren noch die vielen kleinen Gassen mit Buden die abseits des Hauptweges waren. An dem Baum vorne links konnte man seine Wünsche für das nächste Jahr aufschreibe und dann an den Baum hängen.

For children there was on the market place a Christmas forest with a petting zoo. There were various animals such as reindeer (see above), llamas, donkeys, sheeps and rabbits. In a special section the Fasanerie Hanau showed hawks, eagles and owls. In addition there were for kids still a Christmas baking, pony riding and craft stands.

Für Kinder war auf dem Marktplatz ein weihnachtlicher Wald mit Streichelzoo aufgebaut. Dort gab es verschiedene Tiere wie Rentiere (siehe oben), Lamas, Esel, verschiedene Schafe und Hasen. In einem speziellen Bereich hat die Fasanerie Hanau noch Falken, Adler und Eulen gezeigt. Außerdem gab es für Kinder dort noch eine Weihnachtsbäckerei, Ponyreiten und Bastelstände.

Totally awesome idea I found the grilling of Stockbrot (twisted bread). I still know it from my time as scout. The Stockbrot costs 50 cent. The dough is wrapped around a stick and will grilled then over a flame. It makes a lot of fun and was absolutely delicious. Above you can see my daughter with her Stockbrot and below you see the finished bread.

Total geniale Idee fand ich auch das grillen von Stockbrot. Das kenne ich noch aus meinen Pfadfinderzeiten und wurde hier ebenfalls für 50 Cent von den Pfadfindern angeboten. Der Teig wird dabei um einen Stock gewickelt und dann über offenes Feuer gegrillt. Es hat riesig Spaß gemacht und war total lecker. Oben seht ihr meine Tochter beim Stockbrot grillen und unten das fertige Stockbrot.

Eine Weihnachtskrippe darf natürlich auch nicht fehlen.  Hier mit riesigen Holzfiguren umgesetzt.

Unfortunately, culinary I could not try here so much, because I await guests a hour later for coffee. But we allowed ourselves a hot Glühwein. And I bought two Schneebälle, a specialty from the region of Rothenburg (the piece for 2,30 €). One with apple and cinnamon and one traditional with powdered sugar (see picture above). Although I've seen it many times, but I never tried it before. Although they were very dry, but quite tasty.

Kulinarisch konnten ich hier leider nicht so viel genießen, da ich schon eine Stunden später Gäste zum Kaffee erwartet habe. Allerdings haben wir uns einen heißen Glühwein gegönnt. Außerdem habe ich noch zwei Schneebälle mitgenommen (das Stück für 2,30 €), eine Spezialität aus der Region Rothenburg. Einen mit Apfel und Zimt und einen traditionellen mit Puderzucker (siehe Bild oben). Habe ich zwar schon oft gesehen, aber noch nie gegessen. Sie waren zwar sehr trocken, aber doch recht lecker. 

And then I have still seen a booth with dog cookies. I bought for my dog some with potato and bacon and some with liverwurst. Per 100g fpr 2,20 €. They smell really delicious. The woman at the booth said they are for dogs. She thought that I would try the cookies ;D

My result:
All in all, I found this Chrismas market very nice and you could go comfortably over the market. Everything was good manageable and for children was also a lot to experience. I found the many variety of the Christmas booth very good (expecially the homemade handicrafts) and of course the Stockbrot. Therefore, I will definitely visit this Christmas market next year again. Addition: In some years, there is additionally a Christmas market at the castle Alzenau.

Und dann habe ich noch an einem Stand für Hundekekse meinem Hund zwei Sorten Hundekekse mitgenommen. Leberwurst-Happen und Kartoffel-Speck-Taler. Pro 100g Packung 2,20€. Sie riechen wirklich sehr lecker, könnte ich glatt selber essen. Am Stand wurde ich auch nochmals darauf hingewiesen, dass sie für Hunde sind ;D

Mein Fazit:
Insgesamt fand ich diesen Weihnachtsmarkt sehr schön und man konnte gemütlich durchlaufen. Alles ist gut überschaubar gewesen und für die Kinder gab es ebenfalls viel zu erleben. Auch fand ich die viele Abwechslung bei den Weihnachsbuden gut (viele Hobbykünstler). Deshalb werde ich nächstes Jahr bestimmt auch wieder diesen Weihnachtsmarkt besuchen. Außerdem: In manchen Jahren gibt es zusätzlich auch einen Weihnachtsmarkt auf der Burg Alzenau.

New York Part 6: Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden

Once we were on this day in Brooklyn on tour, we also visited the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden, which is a part of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Unfortunately, it has snowed a lot that day, so that it was closed to visitors. So we could only run around and take pictures from the outside. Very sad, so we could only make us a small impression of this garden.

Naturally is the winter probably not the best time of year to visit a botanical garden, but if we are already in New York and it's on the way, you must take a visit. In the travel guide stand, that it is the first Japanese garden, which was created in America. Also it seems very nice at the time of cherry blossom, because dozens of cherry trees are dispersed all around this garden. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the sight.

Nachdem wir an diesem Tag in Brooklyn unterwegs waren, haben wir uns auch den Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden angeschaut, der ein Teil des Brooklyn Botanic Garden ist. Leider hat es an diesem Tag sehr viel geschneit, so das er für Besucher geschlossen war. Wir konnten also nur rundherum laufen und von außen Bilder machen. Sehr schade, so konnten wir uns nur einen kleinen Eindruck von diesem Garten machen.

Klar ist der Winter wohl auch keine optimale Jahreszeit einen Botanischen Garten zu besuchen, aber wenn wir schon mal in New York sind und es auf dem Weg liegt, muss man das doch mitnehmen. Im Reiseführer steht, das es der erste Japanische Garten ist, der in Amerika entstanden ist. Auch scheint er sehr schön zur Zeit der Kirschblüte zu sein, da hier dutzende von Kirschbäumen rundherum verteilt sind. Leider konnten wir diesen Anblick auch nicht genießen.

Behind this fenced area on the picture above you will find a Japanese pavilion. From here, you would have had a nice overview on the Torii, the other bank side and the entire pond. But because of this much snow, it was not accessible. But in spring, summer and autumn it is determined very nice here.

Hinter diesem eingezäunten Areal oben hat sich noch ein ein japanischer Pavillon befunden. Von hier aus hätte man einen schönen Überblick auf das Torii, das andere Ufer und den kompletten See gehabt. Aber aufgrund des vielen Schnees war auch dieser nicht zugänglich.  Im Frühling, Sommer und Herbst stelle ich mir es aber sehr schön hier vor.

From the pond edge I was able to take a picture of the Torii, which actually stand in the water. But it's clear, that at 10 degrees below zero the pond is frozen ;)

Vom Teichrand konnte ich dann doch noch ein Bild vom Torii machen, das ja eigentlich im Wasser steht. Aber bei Minus 10 Grad ist klar, das der Teich zugefroren ist ;)

The two pictures above show the view ofer the pond. Here you would be come over a bridge to a waterfall and a Shino shrine. But unfortunately we did not have this possibility. So we moved a little disappointed through the snowy park.

Die zwei Bilder oben zeigen dann noch den Blick über den Teich. Hier wäre man über eine Brücke noch zu einem Wasserfall und zu einem Shinto Schrein gekommen. Aber leider blieb uns das auch verwehrt. So zogen wir dann doch etwas enttäuscht weiter durch den verschneiten Park.

To warm up, we gone into the planthouse. Very impressive we found the area with bonsai trees. According to the season a few bonsai trees had shed their leaves, but it was still very impressive. Many of these trees were donated by people and are therefore also very old.

Zum Aufwärmen hat es uns dann ins Pflanzenhaus gezogen. Sehr beeindruckt hat uns natürlich der Bereich mit der Bonsai Ausstellung. Der Jahreszeit entsprechend hatten einige Bonsai-Bäume ihre Blätter abgeworfen, aber es war trotzdem sehr beeindruckend. Viele dieser Bäume wurden von Leuten gespendet und sind daher auch sehr alt.

New York Part 5: Sapporo Japanese Ramen Noodle

After a long day of sightseeing and shopping in New York, we were of course very hungry. Not far away from our hotel were a few interesting restaurants, where we went for the dinner. Including the Japanese ramen noodle restaurant Sapporo where we were two times for dinner.

We were usually there at 6pm and got always a seat without problems. The first time we seat at a table inside the restaurant and the second time we have seat directly at the window. So we could eating and watching the street life. That was really great.

The restaurant felt like a ramen restaurant in Japan. The staff were also all Japanese people and very friendly. On a long counter you could watch the cooks in the kitchen. The atmosphere were very rustic and cosy. Price-performance are ok for New York.

Nach einem langen Tag mit Sightseeing und Shopping in New York, liegt es nahe das man sprichwörtlich Hunger wie ein Bär bekommt ;) Nicht weit von unserem Hotel gab es ein paar interessante Restaurant in denen wir Abends zum Essen gingen. Darunter auch das japanische Ramen-Nudel Restaurant Sapporo in dem wir gleich zwei mal zum Essen waren.

Wir waren meist so gegen 18 Uhr dort und haben immer ohne Probleme einen Platz bekommen. Das erste mal haben wir an einem Tisch im inneren des Lokals gesessen und das zweite mal haben wir es uns direkt am Fenster bequem gemacht. Mit Absicht, denn so konnte man während des Essens gut das Leben auf der Straße beobachten. Das war wirklich toll.

In dem Restaurant selber kam man sich vor wie in einem Ramen Restaurant in Japan. Das Personal waren ebenfalls alle Japaner sehr freundlich. An einer langen Theke konnte man den Köchen beim kochen zuschauen. Das Ambiente sehr urig und gemütlich. Preis-Leistung sind für New York ok.

Miso Soup

The first time we were there, we forgot our camera. So I could not make pictures of the delicious ramen soups that we have eaten there. I had chosen curry ramen and my husband miso ramen. In addition, we ordered gyōza and seaweed salad.

Das erste mal als wir dort waren, haben wir leider unsere Kamera vergessen. So konnte ich auch keine Bilder von den leckeren Ramen Suppen machen die wir dort essen durften. Ich hatte mich für Curry Ramen entschieden und mein Mann für Miso Ramen. Außerdem hatten wir noch Gyōza und Algensalat bestellt.

The second time we have decided us for a miso soup, tonkatsu and yakisoba. The portions were very abundant and it tasted very good.

Das zweite mal haben wir uns dann für Miso Suppe, Tonkatsu und Yakisoba entschieden. Die Portionen waren sehr reichlich und haben sehr gut geschmeckt.

As we were on the way in the Chinatown district, I have found the store Colours Household Supply Inc. A kind of 100 yen shop, but their prices were usually more expensive. This shop was filled up to the ceiling with Japanese cooking utensils, dishes, household items, snacks and other odds and ends. We came hardly with our winter jackets through the gears XD

Als wir im China Town Viertels unterwegs waren, habe ich noch den Laden Colours Household Supply Inc. gefunden. Eine Art 100-Yen Shop deren Preise aber meist weit darüber lagen. Dieser Laden war bis unter die Decke mit japanischen Küchenutensilien, Geschirr, Haushaltsartikel, Snacks und anderer Krimskrams gefüllt. Man kam mit den dicken Winterjacken kaum durch die Gänge XD

The shop is located between Mott Street and Mulberry Street on the border to Litte Italy.
Here I have only bought a couple of Japanese sweets. Many things that would have interested me, I couldn't buy because of the size. Unfortunately, I had only limited space in my suitcase and I would use it rather for other things. What a shame :(

When we were there was nobody up on us in the store. At first, the owner has taken of our shopping bags. She marked it with a trailer and placed it in the corner. Ok, I can understand that, because of theft and so. What I do not like was that she followed us at every turn. She was always behind us and sorted very "unobtrusively" some things on the shelf and watched out that nobody steal something ;) Probably she had already made ​​a variety of experience with it and meant no harm. But I do not like it so much. It seemed as if she would like to admonish us, if we would take something from the shelf. So I found there the shopping feeling not so great. But I found the shop with his range of products very interesting.
It is in any case a visit worthwhile.

Der Laden liegt zwischen der Mott Street & Mulberry Street direkt an der Grenze zu Litte Italy.

Hier habe ich nur ein paar japanische Süßigkeiten mitgenommen. Viele Sachen die mich interessiert hätten, konnte ich wegen der Größe leider nicht mitnehmen, da ich ja nur begrenzten Platz im Koffer hatte und den lieber für andere Sachen nutzen wollte. Schade, schade :(

Als wir dort waren, war bis auf uns niemand im Laden. Als erstes hat sie uns die ganzen Einkaufstaschen abgenommen, mit einem Anhänger markiert und in die Ecke gestellt. Ok, da kann ich sie verstehen, wegen Diebstahl und so. Was ich aber nicht so mochte war, das sie uns auf Schritt und Tritt gefolgt ist. Sie stand ständig hinter uns und hat ganz "unauffällig" irgendwelche Sachen im Regal sortiert und schön aufgepasst, das man auch ja nichts klaut ;) Wahrscheinlich hatte sie schon diverse Erfahrung damit gemacht und es eigentlich auch nicht böse gemeint. Ich mag sowas allerdings nicht so gerne. Man kam sich vor als würde sie einen gleich ermahnen wenn man was aus dem Regal nehmen würde. Von daher fand ich das Shoppingfeeling dort nicht ganz so toll, wobei mir der Laden mit dem bundgewürfelten Sortiment doch sehr gefallen hat.
Ein Besuch ist der Laden aber auf jeden Fall mal wert.

New York Part 3: Vivi Bubble Tea

I've noticed that I hanging totally with my posts about New York. So today I will post about Vivi Bubble Tea.
This small bubble tea shop is located in Chinatown. I've already informed myself before departure, which Bubble tea shops there is. Spontaneously, I decided me for Vivi Bubble Tea. It was certainly not a bad decicion :)

As I know it from my county, the little shop is very cute, have a stylish design and is very comfortable inside. Before the store sitting a huge figure of Homer Simpson. He shows you the snack-daily offer.
Behind the counter, were three very friendly Japanese girls, which prepared the fresh drinks and snacks. On the left wall was a lot of vending machines, where you could drawn different manga and anime characters. And on the right side, could sit four people. Unfortunately, all the seats were occupied. We would have liked to have done a little break.

Mir ist aufgefallen, dass ich total mit meinen Posts über New York hinterher hänge. Also gibt es heute einen Post über Vivi Bubble Tea.
Dieser kleine Bubble Tea Shop liegt mitten in Chinatown. Ich habe mich schon vor Abreise informiert welche Bubble Tea Shops es dort gibt. Spontan habe ich mich dann für Vivi Bubble Tea entschieden. Es war jedenfalls keine schlechte Entscheidung :)

Der kleine Laden ist wie man es von hier auch kennt sehr stylisch und ganz niedlich gestaltet und sehr gemütlich. Vor dem Laden Sitzt eine riesige Figur von Homer Simpson der einem das Snack-Tagesangebot zeigt.
Hinter der Theke waren drei sehr freundliche japanische Mädchen die einem die Getränke und Snacks  frisch zubereitet haben. Die linke Wand war komplett mit Automaten zugestellt, an denen man unterschiedliche Manga und Animefiguren ziehen konnte. Und auf der rechten Seite konnten 4 Personen sitzen. Leider waren alle Plätze besetzt, wir hätten hier gerne eine kleine Pause gemacht.

All drinks you get there in 2 sizes for a great price. 16 oz (450 ml) for $2.95 and 24 oz (750 ml) for $3.95. Whereby the 16 oz was for me enough. The selection was also great. You get there slush, lemon jelly, yogurt drinks, puddings, flavored tea and of course milk tea in many different flavors.
The fresh made Japanese snacks I found also great.  You can choose between takoyaki, tempura, fried yam, popcorn chicken or ice cream with azuki beans.
Unfortunately, I couldn't taste them, because we only had eaten a short time before. If I had known that before. Well, for the next time I know it ;)

Alle Getränke gibt es dort in 2 Größen zu super Preisen. 16 oz (ca. 450 ml) für $2.95 und 24 oz (ca. 750 ml) für $3.95. Wobei mir die 16 oz schon mehr wie gereicht haben. Die Auswahl ist ebenfalls super. Man bekommt Slush, Lemon Jelly, Joghurt-Drinks, Pudding, Flavored Tea und natürlich auch Milk Tea in vielen verschiedenen Geschmacksrichtungen.
Super fand ich auch die frischgemachten japanischen Snacks und Desserts wie Takoyaki, Tempura, frittierte Yams, Popcorn Chicken oder Eis mit Azukibohnen. Leider konnte ich davon nichts probieren, da wir kurz vorher erst was gegessen hatten. Wenn ich das gewusst hätte. Naja, für das nächste mal weiß ich es ;)

I have decided for a small Bubble Milk Tea Green. Somehow, I drink it mostly at first, when I try out a new bubble tea shop. It has taste me in any case very, very good ^ ^
Oh, I've got a VIP Card. For every purchased drink you get a stamp. For 5 stamps you get a free drink. Unfortunately, we were in this district not so often, so I'm had only one stamp on this card. But I think next time the card still will work.

Ich hatte mich für einen kleinen Bubble Milk Green Tea entschieden. Irgendwie trinke ich den meistens als erstes wenn ich einen neuen Bubble Tea Shop ausprobiere. Er hat mir jedenfalls sehr, sehr gut geschmeckt^^
Ach ja, man hat übrigens noch eine VIP Card bekommen. Für jedes gekaufte Getränk gab es einen Stempel, ab 5 Stempel gab es ein Getränk geschenkt. Leider waren wir in der Ecke nicht so oft, so das ich mit nur einem Stempel zurück gekommen bin. Denke aber das die Card nächstes mal auch noch gültig ist.

Sushi Factory Hamburg Rotherbaum

As you have already read, I was a few weeks ago to visit in Hamburg. I reported you already about the Japanese garden in Planten un Blomen, the Japan Shop and from the Bubble Tea Shop justea.

At lunch time we were on the way in the university quarter. Coincidentally, we are also reached there the Sushi Factory. We considered briefly whether we should go eat there, because the name sounds after a mass production. But the appetite for sushi were too big ;)

Wie ihr sicherlich vor kurzem gelesen habt, war ich ja vor einigen Wochen zu Besuch in Hamburg. Ich habe euch ja schon vom japanischen Garten in Planten un Blomen, dem Japan Shop und vom Bubble Tea Shop justea berichtet.

Zur Mittagszeit waren wir im Univiertel unterwegs. Zufällig sind wir dort auch an der Sushi Factory vorbei gekommen. Wir haben kurz überlegt ob wir dort essen gehen sollen, denn der Name klingt so nach Massenproduktion. Aber der Hunger auf Sushi hat dann doch gesiegt ;)

At first we have granted us a miso soup. Outside it was very cold on this day and we were glad to eat a hot meal. The soup was very tasty, but for me it could have been more tofu in the soup.

Als erstes haben wir uns dann erst einmal eine Miso-Suppe gegönnt. Draußen war es an dem Tag recht kalt und wir waren froh auch mal was warmes im Magen zu haben. Die Suppe war sehr lecker, hätte für mich nur etwas mehr Tofu enthalten können.

The shop is very nice in the colors red and white. The walls are adorned with red/white floral wallpaper. You can either sit on chairs on the belt or on white leather seat, as we have done it. On the table lay a small ring binder in which stand all sushi versions, drinks and prices and much more.
The prices are staggered in 4 plate colors: green 1,90€, blue 2,60€, yellow 2,90€ and orange 3,90€. The prices are so far ok, but the first two plate colors I find a bit too high. I know it mostly so that the prices starts at 0,90€ or a bit higher. But the selection was top. Of all versions was enough on the belt.
The service was German but very friendly and attentive. However, the sushi was prepared by Japanese chefs.

My result:
Nice ambience, friendly service and a very large selection of delicious sushi at the same time on the belt. In other sushi shops is this not always the case, that all versions will be offered at the same time. The products are fresh and good. I have only negative noticed, that the first two plate colors for me a bit too high.

Der Laden ist recht hübsch in den Farben weiß und rot gehalten. Die Wände werden von roten Tapeten mit Blumenmuster verziert. Mann kann entweder auf Stühlen direkt am Band sitzen oder auf weißen Lederbänken so wie wir es gemacht haben. Auf dem Tisch lag ein kleines Ringbuch in dem einem alle Sushivarianten, Getränke, Preise, usw. mitgeteilt wurden.
Die Preise staffeln sich in 4 Tellerfarben: Grün 1,90€, blau 2,60€, gelb 2,90€ und orange 3,90€. Die Preise sind ja soweit ok, aber die ersten beiden Tellerfarben finde ich doch etwas zu hoch. Ich kenne es meistens das die Preise bei 0,90€ oder etwas höher anfangen. Die Auswahl war aber top. Von allen Varianten war genug auf dem Band.
Die Bedienung war deutsch aber sehr nett und aufmerksam. Das Sushi wurde aber von japanischen Köchen zubereitet.

Mein Fazit:
Hübsches Ambiente, freundliche Bedienung und eine super große Auswahl an leckerem Sushi gleichzeitig auf dem Band. In anderen Sushi Läden ist das nämlich nicht immer der Fall, das einem alle Varianten gleichzeitig angeboten werden. Die Produkte waren frisch und gut. Negativ sind mir nur die ersten beiden Tellerfarben aufgefallen, die ich etwas zu hoch empfand.
